Baking a chocolate cake can sound like a daunting process but thanks to Chef Tida Pichakron from Haute Sweets Patisserie, she’s making that process so simple, anyone can make it!

With just three ingredients, this Flourless Chocolate Cake could not be easier!

  • 8 Eggs
  • 16 ounces semisweet or bittersweet Chocolate
  • 1 cup (2 sticks)  Butter


  1. Preheat oven to 300°F
  2. Grease sides of an 8-inch cake pan and line the bottom with parchment paper. Set aside.
  3. Melt chocolate and butter over double boiler.
  4. Whip eggs on high speed until they double in volume for about 5 minutes.
  5. Fold ⅓ of the eggs into chocolate mixture until only a few streaks of egg are visible.
  6. Fold in remaining eggs in two parts until mixture is completely combined.
  7. Pour batter into prepared cake pan and smooth the surface.
  8. Bake in a water bath until cake has slightly risen and edges are beginning to set. This should take approximately 20-25 minutes. Test the center with a thermometer and when it reaches 140°F the cake is done.
  9. Cool and refrigerate overnight.
  10. Warm slightly to remove cake from the pan and enjoy!
