    Haskell & Worth, Shayna’s Place Deli and SusieCakes all to Open Spring 2019

As part of its ongoing and enhanced roster of carefully selected restaurant stalls, Legacy Hall will be adding three new food stalls in the coming weeks.

Haskell & Worth, serving house-made Philly Cheesesteaks, will open on February 25. Shayna’s Place, a second North Texas location known for sandwiches, soups and salads, follows shortly after with a March opening date. Then, the popular all-American, home-style bakery SusieCakes will open later this Spring.

“One of the best aspects of a food hall is the ability to continually evolve and change based on the needs and desires of our guests, but also with industry trends,” said Kulsoom Klavon, Vice President Curation at Food Hall Co., Legacy Hall’s parent company. “We pride ourselves on finding what we view as the best offerings possible that also make sense to the consumer and the overall food hall experience.”

Haskell & Worth, named after the Dallas crossroads where Chef Jordan Swim opened his first catering company more than 11 years ago, will offer the ultimate American comfort food:

Philly Cheesesteaks. Sandwich choices will include thinly sliced Ribeye steak or chicken on top of a traditional Amaroso roll and covered with a diner’s choice of onions, peppers, cheese and ‘shrooms ($9). Toppings include classic Cheese Wiz, Provolone or White American, as well as banana peppers, bell peppers, pickled jalapeños and house Giardiniera. Guests can top off their custom sandwich with Dijon aioli, mayo, Carltons BBQ sauce, ketchup or Frank’s Red Hot. Haskell & Worth will be open daily from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Coming in spring 2019, Shayna’s Place, a restaurant known for sandwiches, soups and salads, as well as breakfast items while also open. Fulfilling its mission to provide employment opportunities for people with special needs. This new location will serve a curated menu of popular items from its other locations. The Vinny’s Kitchen, an East Coast-style “grinder” sandwich topped with prosciutto di Parma, capicola, provolone, hot peppers and Shayna’s dressing (named “Best Grinder in Rhode Island” by USA Today) will be available for $10.95. There will also be vegetarian and vegan options such as Shayna’s Avocado Toast topped with sprouts ($5.95). Other menu favorites include the Zorba The Greek Salad with romaine lettuce, cucumber, banana peppers, red tomato, red onion, Kalamata olives, feta and Shayna’s dressing ($10.95).The restaurant will also offer a full menu of coffee drinks. Shayna’s Place will be open Sunday through Wednesday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Thursday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.

Also in spring of 2019, SusieCakes, an all-American, home-style bakery will open its fourth North Texas location inside Legacy Hall. Presenting a welcome alternative to the artificial flavors and preservatives found at most grocery-store bakeries, SusieCakes offers a variety of nostalgic desserts in a friendly, old-fashioned neighborhood experience. Specialties include frosted layer cakes in familiar flavors such as Southern Red Velvet, Six Layer Chocolate and Tropical Coconut. SusieCakes will be open Sunday through Wednesday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Thursday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.
