DIVA MORETTI-POLEGATO BIO
Diva Moretti-Polegato was born into a family with a long tradition in wine making. The family winery, Villa Sandi, is located in the heart of the Prosecco area and is indeed a leader producer having reached about 130 Countries in the world
Passion, commitment and dedication to create high quality wines take many forms, and the Moretti-Polegato family’s belief in being stewards of the land not only reflects in the quality of their wines but the in the land itself, which has resulted in having the winery estates certified as “Biodiversity Friend” by the WBA (World Biodiversity Association)
Following the family’s philosophy of sticking to territorial identity , they have acquired Borgo Conventi, a winery with vineyards in the Collio area, one of the most prestigious production areas in Italy. A new challenge for producers like the Moretti Polegatos, so deeply connected with territory, seeking for excellence while committed to environment safeguard and identity.
Diva grew up in the scenery of vineyards and experienced the fascination of the charming Prosecco hills, but soon developed an international attitude and point of view. She attended University in London where she obtained her degree in Political Science, earned her Sommelier degree in London, WSET level 2, and continues to enhance her knowledge with wine business and culture classes.
Diva is based in London and works as UK & North/South America Export Area Manager and Brand Ambassador for the whole group with special focus on international markets. This includes visits to on-trade customers, attending wine events and presentations and tastings with sales consumers and media.
Diva represents and conveys the values of a family-owned winery, including the special bond with the production area and the commitment to foster and enhance the company image as Premium producer.
Following her family’s inclination for charitable causes, she is committed to charity with the non-profit organization she helped co-found with the purpose to foster education for children in Ethiopia by supporting a school and an orphanage.
