OUR TWO FAVORITE WORDS: BEER RELEASE!

You heard it here first! Our amazing NEW winter warmer, The Idol Time Coconut Porter, is set to release in December. As part of our Idol Time Series, our sweet, new release combines hints of toasted coconut that’ll keep you warm all winter long.

Brewmaster Tom says, “What’s neat about this brew is that we added in coconut sugar at the end of the boil to give it a flavorful taste, full of  winter-inspired aromas. We let it sit for about two weeks so that the beer could fully absorb the flavor. After the brewing process was over, we went to Forno Nero and used their huge oven to toast coconut flakes–this was the finishing touch on the brew”. The end result is a flavorful, nutty character malt that’s both sweet and rich in taste…with a hint of pizza. Just kidding!

Tom says that this beauty took about 1 month to make and ferment, which makes it unique from The Idol Time Passion Fruit Pineapple Wheat or Blind Justice Indian Pale Ale-these beers usually brew in two weeks, tops. He is excited for the release because it’s the first winter warmer he has done, which has a taste unlike any other brew. He says The Idol Time Coconut Porter holds a special place in his heart (and belly!)
